2108 Series
2108: EYES OPEN
It’s the year 2108. I just turned 16. That means I can access the autopilot on my Aerokopa. So now, I can both fly and surf the Holoworld at the same time. But what good is that when I don’t even have a date to my best friend’s party of the century? Okay, well, one of the Holdouts offered to go with me…but there’s NO WAY I’m going with one of them! And then there are the Trollers docked at the wharf. They’re most likely spies working with the Aliens, bringing nothing but trouble. But with this visit, they may even bring war. It would be treason to talk to them, let alone…befriend one. But what’s a curious girl to do? Did I tell you I have a propensity for trouble?
This book was published under my maiden name, K.L. Glanville, and will eventually be republished under my current author name, K. Ross.

I have to admit, I was already a fan of K.L. Glanville (K. Ross) having read The Realm: the Awakening Begins a few years ago, so, when I heard about her newest book, 2108: Eyes Open, I was pumped! And this book did not disappoint. It was very enjoyable; in fact, I started reading it at 11 PM and couldn’t put it down until I’d finished the entire thing in one sitting! Once I finished I was actually a little nauseous because I was so engrossed in the story and NOT ready for it to be over! There better be a sequel, or I’ll be crushed! The world of 2108 is different to ours in many ways, but the emotions and personal journeys of the characters are real and relatable. If you like Young Adult Fantasy and Sci-Fi books and/or coming-of-age stories, you MUST read this; you will not regret it! Seriously, my only complaint is that I wish there were more of 2108 to read right now! So don’t think about it for one second longer and just buy it!
20-SOMETHING FEMALE
2108 was one of those books I just didn’t want to put down! I was transported forward in time into a world of flying hoverjets, neutralizing chambers and widges. This is Jewel’s fantastic, futuristic world. Her story, and the dangerous adventures she is forced to embark in a world that is brimming with racial tension between the Holdouts, Naturals, Aliens and Bionics is a thoroughly absorbing, fascinating read! The author brilliantly spins a story involving awe-inspiring landscapes and heart-warming characters in the midst of sinister forces. Within a few pages of reading, I was thoroughly invested to this fast-paced, absorbing world that is in danger of being destroyed. And to it’s unlikely heroine, a teenage girl, who learns her true strength and the surprising love of others as she is called upon to rescue a world in conflict. I loved the characters in the book and could so easily relate to the emotional struggles that Jewel, the main character, goes through. The book ends with a sequel in the making. I cannot wait to read the next book! Please write it soon!

Natch characters and weird, chilling, out-of-this-world villains…definitely a must read for fans of the future.
BRANDON, AGE 17
I have to begin by saying that I don’t generally read futuristic novels, but I am completely hooked on K.L. Glanville’s (K. Ross’) writing style, her creative imagery, innovative characters and varied story lines… beginning with ‘The Realm: The Awakening Begins,’ and now with ‘2108: Eyes Open.’ I honestly could NOT put it down!!
Though Jewel’s (the main character in 2108) life takes place in a future age, her challenges, emotions and struggles are congruent with those we face in 2012, and her personal relationships and interactions with a young man named Forge, her peers and her father are also exceptionally relevant to those of today.
Needless to say, I highly recommend this book as a GREAT READ and I can’t wait for the next installment!! I say, “Read it! You’ll love it!!”
